Assembly Technician General Overview of Position The position of Assembly Technician reports to the Area Manager and is responsible to provide high quality merchandise assembly, installation, and service work at customer locations. Position Responsibilities ï· Assemble all products according to manufacturer’s directions and specifications. ï· Communicate with Area Manager at the beginning and end of each shift. ï· Use time clock as required to record time. ï· Check in with appropriate contact at customer location. ï· Check for work lists left by the local Area Manager. ï· Complete work tasks as indicated by the work list or customer. ï· Complete repairs as necessary. ï· Order parts using the on line order system. ï· Work in a safe and clean manner. ï· Be aware of other customers in the area. ï· Stage assembled product in a neat and orderly fashion. ï· Dispose of trash as dictated by the customer. ï· Fill out necessary information for billing purposes. ï· Have billing information approved and processed. ï· Update customer status as required. ï· Other duties and/or tasks may be assigned on an as needed basis. Position Requirements ï· Required availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays. ï· Excellent customer service and communication skills. ï· Must provide own tools. ï· Ability to work independently. ï· Ability to reach and maintain prescribed productivity levels for assembly. ï· Reliable transportation. ï· Ability to provide a clean background screen. ï· Ability to pass a drug screen. Essential Job Functions ï· Ability to repeatedly lift and carry up to 80 lbs. ï· Ability to walk for long periods of time and periodically climb up and down stairs. ï· Ability to work exposed to outside temperatures. ï· Frequently bending, kneeling and reaching. ï· Ability to use hands and fingers to assemble small parts and calibrate precise measurements. ï· Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and oral.
